Who We Are

Established in 2008, IMPACT Partners in Social Development is registered in India under Company’s Act. IMPACT is exclusively engaged in capacity building, program design and conceptualization, implementation, research and evaluation of social sector development projects. IMPACT works on the principles of Partnerships, Knowledge sharing and Development of sustainable strategies. IMPACT believes that every individual bring their own set of knowledge and experience and collective wisdom can result into multi-fold increase in the impact of social development. Hence, IMPACT believes in working with and strengthening existing systems as opposed to creating new structures.

IMPACT has vast experience of working directly with project teams implementing large scale projects and undertaking capacity building of the stakeholders. IMPACT has capability of conceptualizing the training needs into action keeping the desired outcomes of the projects, objectives, timelines and outcomes. IMPACT has a team of experienced professionals (Statisticians, Economists, Social Work Experts, Anthropology, Human Rights, Finance and Accounts, Human Resource) and works with highly qualified social development sector consultants.

Dr. Manish Subharwal, Chief Executive Officer

MPhil, PhD (Statistics)

Manish has more than twenty five years of experience in programme development and M&E for social development projects in the field of youth development, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, nutrition, migration, social exclusion, child protection, human trafficking, micro-finance and gender. Dr. Subharwal is a founder director of IMPACT and has been leading it since its formation. He is an expert in developing programmes and M&E Systems for large scale projects and programs with multiple levels of reporting. He is also an effective facilitator that helps organizations and networks develop their strategic frameworks. He has country experience of working in South Asia (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka), Africa (Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe) and UK. He possesses experience working with projects and programs supported by USAID, DfID and other bilateral donors and implemented by

international level NGOs including Restless Development (formerly SPW), CARE, Academy of Education Development (AED) and Management Systems International (MSI). Dr. Subharwal has sound experience in managing projects on maternal and child health, child protection, human trafficking, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS. He has been associated with Integrated Nutrition Health Project (INHP) one of the largest MCH related projects in the country implemented by Care India. He was directly involved in handling an Evaluation Research on Maternal and Infant mortality and nutrition. At IMPACT, Dr. Subharwal plays a key role at multiple stages and involve himself not only in the management of the projects but also in the execution to get in-depth insights. He has led every research assignment at IMPACT on different thematic areas for various donors/clients including UN Women, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM/UK), IDEAS Project, PACF, Tdh Foundation, Save the Children, Railway Children, IMC Worldwide, EdelGive Foundation, American India Foundation, Quest Alliance, Crea, Free the Slaves, World Vision India, Alive and Thrive, National Skills Development Council, CABI, SightSavers India, Childline India Foundation, Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives, IPAP & PACS, etc.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Chief Operating Officer

MPhil, PhD (Statistics)

Sanjay is a social researcher and monitoring & evaluation specialist having a vast experience of more than 25 years in handling large scale evaluations and establishing monitoring systems. He has worked for many key market research organizations like TNS-SRU, GfK-Social, IMRB-SRI and corporate like NIS Sparta, USAID project (SARI/Equity Support Programme) and international organizations (C3India, formerly CEDPA India). Key core areas handled by him are Reproductive and Child Health, HIV/AIDS, Women empowerment, Child Protection, Human Trafficking, Elementary Education, Women’s Literacy, Nutrition, Consumer Affairs, Agriculture, Panchayati Raj, etc. At IMPACT, Sanjay is in a leadership role and handling operations, administration and execution of the projects. He too involves himself in majority of projects undertaking data collection, data management and documentation.

Sanjay is well-versed with statistical data analysis on SPSS and other software(s). Sanjay has been the lead analyst in several of the large scale quantitative and qualitative researches in the past where he gained hands on experience of managing the evaluations and assessments. He brings in skills of data management to the team. Sanjay has been involved into research studies funded by UN WOMEN, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), IDEAS project, CIFF, EdelGive Foundation, World Vision India, Alive and Thrive, Positive Action for Children Fund, Save the Children, Tdh Foundation, Railway Children, IMC Worldwide, ChildFund India, Bilt Tree Tech Limited and many more.

Lekha Subharwal, Director

Director

Lekha holds a postgraduate degree in Music and she is professionally an educationist. She is a self-taught artist and painter and takes active interest in fine arts and crafts. Lekha has a keen inclination towards social and development sector with a zeal towards women development. She participates in the discussions for conducting research assignments and conducts capacity development workshops for women in arts and crafts. With her strong inclination towards fine arts, painting and crafts, she engaged herself in Majlis – An Art Forum which is a self-help group of artists formally registered under Societies Act, 1860, as Secretary and Founder Member. At IMPACT, Lekha has a responsibility of overseeing the administrative and logistics functions.

Supriti Gupta, Director

Director

Supriti has a graduate degree in Biosciences and post graduate diploma in Computer Sciences. She groomed herself to become a C++ programmer and worked as a faculty in a professional institute. Supriti has her keen interest in social sector and prefers to work with women and adolescents in building their competencies in Culinary Arts and Crafts. She is a founder member and treasurer in Majlis – An Art Forum, which is a self-help group of artists formally registered under Societies Act, 1860. At IMPACT, she actively participates in the assignments and look after operations as required.
